Environmental health and HRV systems: the hot topics of the FITT Agix® Masterclass at the ODI in Genoa

The technical seminar dedicated to environmental health and to the physico-technical and functional approaches related to air exchange systems and the building envelope was held on 21 January at the Order of Engineers of the Province of Genoa.

The event, which included the release of 4 CFP for Engineers, saw the qualified participation of professionals in the plant engineering and building design sector, confirming the growing interest in advanced solutions for the control of indoor air quality, thermohygrometric and acoustic comfort in newly built buildings and in energy upgrading interventions.

Occupier health and thermohygrometric control: the role of the HRV

During the first session, Renato Pelitti, CasaClima Energy Consultant and Official Biosafe* Technician, explored the role of the HRV in relation to occupant health, thermohygrometric control and the evolution of the regulatory framework, providing a structured overview of systems and product types depending on the different plant applications.

Beyond theory: case studies in application reality

The second part of the seminar, curated by Ivan Bertacco, Application Engineer of Airplast Srl, focused on the analysis of three real case studies, focused on the integration between HRV, dehumidification, summer FanCoil and winter and summer radiant systems, offering participants concrete examples of plant design and management in complex application contexts.

The final debate encouraged a direct confrontation between speakers and participants, confirming the educational value of the initiative and the importance of a conscious and multidisciplinary approach to the design of air treatment plants.
